GMMA February 2018 Monthly Newsletter
Dear Beloved GMMA Family!
I am sending you a few reminders for the February newsletter from Korea. God continues to provide opportunities for me to share His testimony in different countries. After each speaking engagement, the absolute truth is confirmed over and over again that He is the beginner and finisher of our lives. I am just a humble messenger to share what He has allowed in my life through His relentless love and grace. It’s amazing to witness how the simple act, of sharing how Christ transformed my life, blesses others.
As usual, I asked the Lord what He should like for me to share this month. Acts 16:9-10 came to mind. “That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there.” Places and people are calling out and inviting us to come and serve, more often than we could handle. How blessed we are, as He chose us and is enabling us to respond to some of the calling every month. Many more are waiting still; missionaries and precious people in challenging circumstances.
We host the biennial conference for the greater body of medical missions to answer the call together. We provide a place to worship, to connect, to learn, and to equip together, which leads to a synergic effect of obedience and mobilization. It’s not an easy task to bring the world to Irvine, California for two days, but our Lord honors our prayers and preparation, and blesses us with His presence. Let us pray harder and serve with all of our heart, mind, and soul to help the body to gather, to receive and respond. It requires all of us to serve together and to tell others about it and help them register. We have conference promo videos, posters, brochures, and postcards you can use. There is not much time left until June 22nd!
In His Service,
Peter Chung M.D.

On January 27th, Dr. Iris led a team of 8 professionals and 13 postgrads and undergraduate students from USC, U of Washington, and UCSB on a one day trip to La Misión, Baja California. The team was able to hold clinic at Siloé Ministries’ new wellness center. The students were able to shadow doctors and dentists and get to know the professionals on a more personal level. Additionally, the team also went to the Buena Vida Orphanage and taught the children VBS songs, skits, and a craft. There are many praise reports from the trip. In particular, this was the UCSB chapter’s first GMMA mission trip. We thank you for all your prayers for each of our mission trips. Please continue to pray for our ongoing monthly trips. Thank you.
