“Through the years, GMMA has become a really special community and an important means of God’s grace and sanctification for me. It has been a blessing witnessing the Spirit form and grow our Cornell chapter. What an amazing privilege being called to be witnesses to the Gospel on our campus! Through GMMA, I’ve also met mentors and friends on our campus and across the nation who have showered me with love and wisdom. God has guided Cornell GMMA through some crazy adventures, so I’m excited to see how God will move in and through us this coming year!”

“GMMA to me is a response to Lord Jesus’ Great Commission to His people. It’s a ministry that seeks to sharpen its members through the Word, the Christ-centered community, and the Christian healthcare professionals resolved to love and mentor. It will challenge your notion of a missional life and seek to show you the raw, life-giving joy that is in a life spent under God’s wings with faith placed in Lord Jesus. Our chapter may be young, but we’re eager to grow and pursue Christ alongside you!”

“GMMA is a place where I found community of people who wanted to grow in their walk with God. A family that was willing to love and serve with one another through a missional life on campus and abroad. GMMA showed me how very possible it was to glorify God in all things that I did whether it was me becoming a doctor or just having a conversation with a completely new person. I was able to go on a mission trip to Honduras in January of 2018 and I was able to grow my faith tremendously. I am excited that I can share this experience with our chapter and possibly even go on missions with our members as well!”

“GMMA continually reminds me of God’s mercy and grace: His people are primarily Christians first who happen to have been graciously blessed with different talents given by Him. We don’t have to particularly be “pre-med” to join this organization because we’re united by Christ blood. I feel that is what makes GMMA particularly unique. Joining GMMA last year, as well as deepening our fellowship with one another as a chapter by glorifying God through our medical missions, is just one vessel I believe God uses to glorify Himself. And He has truly been so faithful over the past year to our chapter and our members. It’s amazing that He can use GMMA as a means to unite a people to Him and even someone like me to go on these trips. I’m just excited to see how GMMA would grow in glorifying God by making disciples in Christ through short-term medical mission trips with various chapter across the States.”

“GMMA holds a precious place in my heart because of the radical ways God has moved me and grown me in faith through this organization. He continually shows me just how much He loves his children, which is so evident whenever I meet mentors, members from other GMMA chapters, and the people in the countries we serve. He’s shown me that I can’t call myself a follower of Christ and pursue a career in healthcare for worldly reasons, and if becoming a physician is His will, the Great Commission is as equally relevant to me as the missionaries He sends around the world. Seeing the ways that God works through GMMA makes me excited to see what He has in store for our chapter in this next year!”

“I joined GMMA because I wanted to see what a missional life as a healthcare professional looked like. Ever since I went on my first GMMA mission trip to Honduras back in August 2017, my worldview and value system drastically changed to fit God’s as I began to identify myself more as a child of God than anything else. I look forward to serving in GMMA and hope that this ministry unites like-minded brothers and sisters to fulfill the Great Commission together here on campus and elsewhere!”

“GMMA is more than just your usual university club- GMMA is home away from home. GMMA was the first community I found at Cornell. It is so humbling to be able to grow alongside and see so many different people pursuing so many different career paths – all to bring glory to Him. At GMMA we learn how to integrate our faith into our career, and our career into our faith. We learn to glorify God in all that we do, in all that we are. So, regardless of whether you are interested or not, pre-med or not, Christian or not, I personally welcome you to GMMA!”
