“GMMA is a family provided by God for me to grow alongside in spirit and prayer. While all of the members are scattered throughout not just America, but the globe, I think it really is a blessing to be able to have fellowship with so many loving brothers and sisters. Beyond the peers I meet, who are so encouraging and willing to keep each other accountable, there are such wonderful mentors who truly look out for us spiritually, physically, and emotionally. The amount of support and love I have received from God through GMMA really makes me have a humbled heart of realizing not only how lacking I am as a servant, but how much harder I should work to remain disciplined, faithful, and loving to those around me.”

GMMA has been a huge blessing to me, reminding me that God’s calling and love for me outshine anything else. Through GMMA, I have found a community of brothers and sisters, peers and mentors alike, who want to actively and intentionally pursue after God. I pray that no matter where my future may lead, I will grow in a heart of servitude and place my hope and confidence in the truths I have learned through GMMA – that God’s arms surround and protect me and He will lead me to where I need to be. Through this period of uncertainty, I pray He would use Cornell GMMA as a source of encouragement, healing, and love for each one of us!”

GMMA is not only an opportunity for accountability with brothers and sisters in Christ, but also a chance to grow a heart for the nations and God’s kingdom. As Christians we’re all called to have a heart for missions, even if we’re not personally called to be missionaries. I’m so thankful that I can grow with peers and mentors by my side in GMMA, encouraging me to persevere even when times are rough. It’s so easy to be self-centered around my own problems. However, God reminds me again and again to look to him and surrender everything in my hands to his big picture. I pray that God would continue to grow me in humility, servitude, and love for him and his people. I pray for the souls of the unreached and the lost. I pray that God would send his people to preach to them so that they may hear and believe in Jesus Christ.”

GMMA has provided me with a family of brothers and sisters that encourage one another to pursue spiritual growth. As Christians, we are called to spread the good news, and GMMA has taught me the importance of spreading God’s love through missional work. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet other Christians and mentors who are extremely passionate about their walk with Christ. Seeing how the Lord has been working through the lives of GMMA members and mentors, it is evident that He is shaping the next generation of leaders in Christ. Through GMMA, I have found a community through which I can serve Jesus and grow as a Christian.”

GMMA is a family of brothers and sisters that is united in our pursuit to reflect and share the love of Christ, whether it be abroad or in our own campuses and communities. GMMA has been such a blessing in my life in teaching me what it really means to obey Jesus’ call to be a witness and how healthcare can be a means through which we can love God and His people. I have also been so encouraged to be running this race alongside loving and dedicated members and mentors who continually point each other back to Christ in all things and emphasize the importance of prayer. I can see how God is working to transform our hearts to experience how great a joy and privilege it is to lift up our lives for His glory alone. I pray that God would be the one to sustain and lead Cornell GMMA to grow and become a pointer to Christ!”

“To me, GMMA is a family of believers seeking to respond to Christ’s calling with their whole lives. Serving with GMMA has given me the conviction to let God’s love consume my career aspirations and relationships. While I’ve always wanted to study medicine, GMMA challenges me to be a physician the way Jesus is, not just of physical bodies but of hearts that are desperately sick and in need. Christ calls us to greater healing, and as we become equipped with the Word I hope our chapter will become a bright light to our campus that breathes life into those who need it. Working with the mentors and spending time in fellowship made me realize how GMMA is also a sign of the Lord’s faithfulness in my life, as He lovingly shepherds me through my college experience. I am excited to see how the Lord uses everyone’s unique talents to glorify His name!”

To me, GMMA is a gracious opportunity to serve and grow alongside brothers and sisters in Christ. Through missions trips and fellowship events with other GMMA chapters and mentors, I’ve seen the amazing work that God is doing in so many peoples’ lives. This community encourages me to continue to fight the good fight and follow Christ above all things. Although I am not a pre-health major, my major has its roots in service. I realized that I don’t have to be a pre-health major in order to understand the greater call of missions and service through medical means. With that, I hope that Cornell GMMA can continue to grow as obedient servants of God that love and serve the people around us.”
