Hello! I am currently taking post-baccalaureate classes at GSU. After receiving so much grace and wisdom from God during my college years at GT, I wanted to start an organization where broken people can come and seek Christ. Jesus walked with sinners like you and me. My vision for GMMA is to provide a community for the lost and broken, and lead them to Jesus Christ. The parable that resembles this vision is Matthew 18:12-14.
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.”
I’m so lucky that GMMA came to my life in my freshman year when I was lost, and it not only brought me friendship but also gave me opportunities to glorify God through medicine which I’ve been passionate about. I hope GMMA GSU chapter continue to grow more than just a club but like a family where people can lift each other up and feel comfortable opening up. And through missions, I hope that God can use and strengthen us as vessels to glorify His name and His kingdom.
“Let all that you do be done in love” 1 Corinthians 16:14 was the first bible verse I memorized. I stumbled across the verse while I was still finding my identity in Christ. I instantly fell in love with the verse because there was no alternate meaning to it. The verse simply states to do everything in love. From that day forward, I wanted my actions to be an example of God’s love. I joined GMMA because it would give me the opportunity to love others the way I have been loved. One opportunity was the Honduras mission trip. God worked through my team to provide both spiritual and physical healing to the people in need. I am humbled to be a part of an organization that views the world through Jesus’ eyes.
