“What I aspire for this year: My goal this year is for GMMA to be a place of community, fellowship, and friendship! Through these hard times, I aspire to welcome members, premed majors and non premed majors!”

“Although GMMA at UGA is still particularly new, it holds a special place in my heart. It has been a great community that I could rely on, and I will forever value the friendship and connections I made through it. What I want to see for this group is growth. Not specifically in numbers, but growth as a team. In order to grow, however, I feel like we’ll have to become comfortable with the uncomfortable, but I won’t mind if I have my squad with me. #gmmagang”

“Going to missions trips has always been a big part of my life, ever since going to my first mission trip in high school. I knew that I wanted to continue doing mission trips in college, and the perfect opportunity came with GMMA. After going to Honduras mission trip and meeting amazing doctors it really made me want to pursue medicine more. It’s amazing how God blessed us through the trip and blesses us every day in our life. GMMA has honestly been such an important part of my life and I am happy to serve alongside friends who value GMMA’s mission the same way. The community that this organization holds is something very special, and it has impacted me in my growth as a Christian. God has shown me how timing is something that speaks to us individually. Even though we might not see things the way we picture, God already has that picture for us and through time our path will show! I am blessed to serve another year on the executive board and I can’t wait to see what is to come!”

“Although I’m not sure if the COVID-19 situation will get better, I hope that we would be able to go on the mission trip to Honduras this year. I went on a mission trip to Cuba a few years ago and I’ve made great memories and had a great experience serving God through VBS and fellowship with my mission team and I think it would be great to experience a similar feeling again! In the previous mission trip I went to, I truly felt God’s love and I’m sure the GMMA mission trip will offer a great experience as well! However, if we are unable to go on the mission trip this year, I still look forward to the times of fellowship I’ll have with other GMMA members!”

“GMMA has helped me to find a community on campus that’s focused on Christ and spreading His love for us. GMMA also provided for me to showcase this through the mission trip. The organization, as well as my brothers and sisters within it, provides a great way to expand the Kingdom of God.”

“I am truly grateful to have found and become part of GMMA. I am so thankful for the people I have met and for this Christian community in which we can serve God through mission trips together. I hope for GMMA in the upcoming months to grow in our faith together, to welcome new members, and spread God’s love!”
